The Gwen Tross Research Foundation was officially launched at the Education Lecture Theatre, University of Guyana in September, 2016.
The foundation seeks to promote best practices in Nursing Research by providing a monetary Award to BSc. Nursing students whose final research projects are deemed worthy based on the pre-determined standards of the fund and the University of Guyana.
The aim of this Foundation is to foster research activity among nurses pursuing the BSc Nursing Degree Program at the University of Guyana.
Objectives
1. Improve the knowledge base and critical thinking of BSc. Nursing students in the areas of Nursing Education, Nursing Management and Nursing Practice.
2. Establish links between the University of Guyana and the Guyana Nurses Association.
Funding will be obtained by donations and fund raising activities. Deposits and contributions can be made payable to the account of the Foundation (No. 14059) at the Hand in Hand Trust Corporation Inc. 62-63 Middle Street, North Cummingsburg, Georgetown.
